Maya found one green glove on the wall by the bus stop. It was small, so it belonged to a child. She could not just leave it. She pinned a note to the wall: FOUND — ONE GREEN GLOVE. ASK AT NUMBER 12. For three days nobody came. On the fourth day a boy knocked. He had the other green glove in his hand.

Market Day

A soft spot meant the apple would be brown inside. One week Grandpa let Omar carry the money instead. Omar counted the change twice. He got it right both times.
