  1. 1.1. The fire engine drives to the fire; the lifeboat launches down a ramp into the sea. 2. Both carry everything a crew needs and both are sent out when somebody is in danger.
  2. 2.1. An earthquake is the ground shaking; a volcano is melted rock coming out and building a mountain. 2. Both are caused by what the Earth's crust is doing, and both can be dangerous.
