Answer key — Finding the Figures in a Budget

Set 19. Prints on its own sheet.

  1. 1.1. $950 + $60 + $75 + $90 + $350 + $300 + $25 = $1,850; $2,400 − $1,850 = $550. 2. 6 × $300 = $1,800. 3. Electricity and groceries.
  2. 2.1. Soap and sponges, at $35. 2. Because the plan gives half of the profit, so the costs must be taken out first. 3. $35 + $15 + $20 = $70; $450 − $70 = $380; $380 ÷ 2 = $190.
