Notice to the Mill Hands
A notice posted at the mill gate by the owners during a dispute, 1893. TO THE HANDS OF ALBION MILL Wages must fall by one shilling in the pound. Trade is poor and cotton is dear. Any hand refusing the new rate will be paid off. The gates open Monday at six as usual. By order of the owners.
