Rhythm, Rhyme and Repeated Lines is a free printable Grade 2 English worksheet on how sound patterns give a poem its shape, aligned to Common Core standard RL.2.4. It prints 2 questions with an answer key on its own sheet of paper, in 25 versions that each ask different questions, so no two pupils in the class work from the same page. Answer key — Rhythm, Rhyme and Repeated Lines

Set 9. Prints on its own sheet.

  1. 1.1. "See" and "me". 2. "I walk. The ten steps walk with me." 3. The first says the hill and wood have gone; the last says they come back.
  2. 2.1. "Rain on the roof, rain on the road" — it opens the poem and returns at the end. 2. Four verses. 3. It repeats the first line, then the sun comes out instead of more rain.
