  1. 1.1. It could show what happens to transmission as coverage crosses the threshold. 2. If enough are immune the pathogen cannot find a chain of hosts, so the unvaccinated are protected — but only above a threshold. 3. The harmless piece, the antibodies made against it, and the real pathogen meeting them later.
  2. 2.1. Because mills were the only employer in particular towns, the losses show in those towns' populations rather than in national ones. 2. Which towns held the mills, to make the concentration argument visible. 3. It could show textile employment falling from 1965 to 1990 against national employment.
